Fardoulys were engaged to deliver a new 2-storey accommodation building for 32 residents including basement car parking. Each resident room was designed for high-care environments, including private ensuites and nurse call facilities.

Cantilevered, post-tensioned slabs and an angular building design presented challenges in building setouts, prior to the face-brick and stone cladding external finishes. Particular care was taken in constructing these high-care facilities, with DDA compliance a key factor, as well as our commitment to durability throughout high-use spaces such as bathrooms, where waterproofing and containment of fluids is paramount to the function of the facility. 

Fardoulys regularly conducts ITPs as part of our quality system to ensure we’re doing everything in best practice and not just to the minimum. Security is paramount in these facilities; Fardoulys ensures that we implement the suitable security and alarms required to both safely contain residents and alert staff to any critical events.
